WORKERS' COMPENSATION DEFENSE ATTORNEY JOINS ST. LOUIS OFFICE OF WAGENFELD LEVINE

ST. LOUIS, MO - Wagenfeld Levine, a multi-state insurance defense practice, today announced that attorney David G. Kowart has joined its St. Louis office as an associate. Kowart’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense in Missouri and Illinois, handling cases through every stage of litigation.    

Kowart spent eight years with Lemp & Anthony, P.C., St. Louis, where he successfully handled all aspects of workers’ compensation defense from claim filing through trial and appeal.  He represented clients in hundreds of cases, including death claims, claims for permanent and total disability, disputed occupational disease claims and last exposure rule disputes. 

Prior to that experience, Kowart worked in the Labor Division of the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, representing the state as an employer and Missouri’s Second Injury Fund.

Kowart is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri Bar, and Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University Of Notre Dame, and his juris doctorate at the University Of Arkansas School Of Law in 1996.

With offices in Miami, Philadelphia and St. Louis, Wagenfeld Levine concentrates its practice in representation of self-insured and large retention entities. The four-office firm has a total of 27 attorneys and 53 employees.
